What is
We began with intensive and in-depth sessions to collate the needs of stakeholders and understanding the business. The tools used were workshops and questionnaires. We began with designing the marketing website and were on extremely tight schedule as clients wanted to showcase the product in the AWS reinvent conference.
To get a better understanding of the current application, we performed a heuristic evaluation of the current application which helped us identify usability problems and prioritise our focus areas to work on.
To categorize and bucket the various features/functions of the product into a hierarchical structure, we created an existing IA and later on, the proposed IA. This helped define the workflow and gauge how content is distributed across various sections of the product.
We focussed on designing the dashboard ensuring that all the necessary information was provided in the first fold. Another major breakthrough was organizing and enriching the data tables, we added multiple functionalities enabling users to carry out various functions right on table. We tried taking the load off the users by strategically grouping the related functions and information.
